The Role: Founding Designer
This is a rare opportunity to join as the first designer at a well-funded, fast-moving AI startup. You’ll have the autonomy to set the design direction across the entire product and establish the design function from the ground up.
The immediate priority is transforming an industry-leading spreadsheet add-in into a product that is not only functionally powerful but also beautiful, intuitive, and delightful to use.
In the longer term, you’ll lay the foundations for an AI-native financial modelling platform and play a pivotal role in scaling the design team.
Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end design of the spreadsheet add-in, owning both UX and visual design.

Develop wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity mockups.

Establish and maintain a scalable, component-based design system.

Conduct user research with early customers to deeply understand workflows, needs, and pain points.

Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to deliver high-quality features quickly.

Contribute to the design vision for the future AI-native platform.
Requirements

Portfolio excellence in product design, UX, and visual design—ideally with complex, data-heavy B2B or SaaS products.

Passion for AI-first products, with an understanding of their unique UX challenges and opportunities.

High ownership mentality and a bias for action in fast-paced environments.

Determination and creativity in solving complex user problems.

Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma).

Experience working closely with engineers and product managers.

Bonus: background in user research or usability testing.
